Hi, I'm Charles Packard, Executive Producer here at The Aurora Fox.
At The Fox, we are serious about connecting you to the passion and
possibilities of life through engaging and inspiring theatre.
We specialize in telling stories that help us all understand a bit more about ourselves and the unique subcultures that make up our American culture.
Even better, at The Fox you can always count on our friendly nature and our ongoing commitment to bringing you into the process. Unlike many theatres, we invite you to connect with the magic both onstage and behind the scenes. We always want your experience here at The Fox to be relaxed, fun and unusual. And we are dedicated to continually bringing our art to the next level of excellence.
We are especially glad that you will be joining us for the 2011-1012 season. This is our year to explore the process of finding your place and sticking up for what you know to be true.
Everyone longs for home and a sense of enduring connections with the people, places and traditions that make them feel special and respected. Sometimes to reach that place we have to overcome unexpected obstacles and take extraordinary risks.
Our 2011-2012 season will introduce you to powerful characters on compelling journeys. You will meet a Samurai trying to discern the truth about an unsettling crime, two hunting buddies in search of the most important buck they will ever hunt, a chalk artist pursuing his dream of starting a roller disco, a young black girl trying to find her voice and make sense of the changes in her family and her culture, and a bunch of loveable locals drinking their way through amateur talent night at the local bar. It is a colorful and dynamic group of people you will never forget.
These stories would be enjoyable just to read - but they are more inspiring to watch live on stage. Sword fights, roller disco, flaming cowboy boots and a marauding black bear are only the beginning. We have many other surprises in store for you.
This is our year to explore that complex process of finding a sense of truth and belonging that makes us feel at home. We hope you will always feel at home at The Fox.
